This policy explains what information STL Food Service Equipment LLC (“STLFSE,” “we,” “us”) collects through stlfse.com, the Owner’s Toolbox, the Owner’s Binder and the Kitchen Opening Playbook, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what you choose to send us, we use basic analytics only with your permission, and we never sell your information.

Information you give us

• Email sign-ups. When you sign up for a free guide, the Owner’s Binder or updates, we collect your name (if asked) and email address.
• The Kitchen Opening Playbook app. When you sign up, we collect your name and email (or the name and email Google shares if you use Google sign-in), plus anything optional you add, such as your opening city, concept name, phone number or website, and your consent choices. The plans you build stay in your own browser. See the Kitchen Opening Playbook privacy notice for details.
• Emails and messages. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can answer you.
• Scheduling. If you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email and chosen time and shares them with us.
• Purchases. Orders in our online store are handled by Shopify under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details we need to fill your order.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our web host (GoDaddy) records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time, to keep the site running and secure.
• Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) records the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example, a QR code in our showroom), and your approximate location. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set.
• Translation. If you use the language switcher, Google Translate (through GTranslate) translates the page and may set a cookie that remembers your language.
• Fonts. Some pages, including the Owner’s Toolbox, load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.

Cookies and similar storage

• Necessary: cookies that remember your cookie choice and keep the site working. These don’t need consent.
• Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Set only if you accept. You can change your choice any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
• Preferences: the googtrans cookie, set only if you choose a language.
• Browser storage for the free tools: the Owner’s Toolbox and the Kitchen Opening Playbook save what you type in your own browser (local storage) so it’s there next time. It is never sent to us. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.

We don’t use advertising cookies or ad trackers.

How we use information

• To send the guide, binder or updates you asked for. Marketing emails go only to people who opted in, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To answer your questions, quote equipment, and arrange delivery, pickup or service.
• To understand which pages and tools help owners most, if you allowed analytics.
• To keep the site secure and working, and to meet legal obligations.

We will not send marketing text messages unless you separately agree to receive them.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run STLFSE, and only as needed for their service: our web host (GoDaddy), Google (Workspace, Analytics, Fonts and Translate), our email-sending service, Calendly and Shopify. We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and safety.

How long we keep it

• Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Messages and business records: as long as needed to serve you and meet tax and legal requirements.
• Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
• Kitchen Opening Playbook sign-ups: as described in its privacy notice.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe with the link in any email, or email us.
• Change cookie choices with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser.
• See, correct or delete your information by emailing heard@stlfse.com. We answer within 30 days and may need to confirm the request came from you. We honor these requests no matter which state or country you live in.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

stlfse.com is for business owners and operators. It is not directed to children under 13, and the Kitchen Opening Playbook is for adults 18 and older. If you believe a child sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Where your information is stored

STLFSE is based in St. Louis, Missouri. Our information is stored in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be handled in the U.S.

Other websites

Our pages link to other sites, including our online store, YouTube, Facebook and the free tools listed in our Toolbox directory. Their own privacy policies apply.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll post a notice on the site.
