General information only

Everything on stlfse.com, our YouTube channel, and our social media, including guides, checklists, code summaries, and videos, is general information for restaurant owners and operators. It is not legal, electrical, plumbing, gas, fire-safety, engineering, or code-compliance advice. Local requirements vary and change often. Before you buy, install, move, or modify equipment, confirm the details with your local health department, fire marshal, building department, and a licensed contractor.

Health code and local requirement guides

Our city, county, and state equipment requirement pages summarize publicly available rules to help you prepare. They may not reflect the latest changes or every requirement that applies to your location. The official code and your inspector always have the final say.

Used equipment

Used equipment is sold as-is, with no warranty, unless a written warranty is given to you at the time of sale. Extended warranties and protection plans, where offered, are provided by third parties, not by STL Food Service Equipment. Their terms are between you and that provider.

Safety

Commercial cooking equipment involves heat, gas, high voltage, and moving parts. Installation, gas connections, and electrical work should be done by qualified, licensed professionals. Always follow the manufacturer鈥檚 instructions.

Interviews and opinions

Restaurant owners and guests featured in our videos share their own experiences and opinions. Mentions of brands or products are not endorsements unless we say so.

Sponsorships and affiliate links

If we ever earn a commission from a link, receive free products, or are paid to feature something, we will say so clearly in that content.
